Do 15 minutes of exercise it can be anything from a walk, to working out in the gym to having a kick about with your mates. Just do something that gets you active, you could even try yoga to relax yourself.



Depression may affect your eating habits so make sure to eat regular meals with lots of fruit and vegetables. Even if you donít feel hungry try to eat something like a piece of fruit. See the Healthy Eating pages for meal and snack ideas.
Sometimes people become depressed because their sense of fun has become blocked. Try to do something you enjoy, like doodling, making music, skating, riding your bike, watch a movie, play with pet or do something with your mates.
Try and work out what is making you feel down and upset, maybe talk to someone you trust or if you donít want to talk write it down. It may make you feel better for just getting your problems out your head, try not to focus on them though or it will make you feel more down.
Depression makes you just look at the bad things in your life, so try and think about the good things. Like if you have a child, girlfriend, a quality group of mates, a skill or a passion for something. Try to focus on this and make it more of an important thing in your life. Maybe write a list of all the good things you have going for you and add to the list whenever you can, your plan for the future is make more positive things happen in your life.
